This debut novella contains two stories. The first about a young single mother and the second about a young widow. Both stories feature the ability to overcome loss and grief and find new love.
The Picture Postcard my first novella,is also about a girl who finds the Quaker Meetings helpful and this begins a journey of self discovery.
The Autumn Tree is about the mature woman finding new directions.
An excellent read for those who like romantic fiction.

Review - Frozen
This film from the Walt Disney stable is destined to become a classic for many years. Loosely based on the fairy tale of The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Anderson, I am sure he would have been delighted. The graphics are wonderful and best viewed on the big screen but the animations will delight everyone. The twist in the ending, would gain approval from Carl Jung and 1960's feminists alike. A thoroughly deserved box office success.

Review of The Grand Budapest Hotel
Review - The Grand Budapest Hotel
This Hollywood Farce is in the true Carry On tradition. The blue humour would be shocking if it were not so funny. The accents of the cast are equally humourous. Pastiches of James Bond Movies and The Great Escape add to the hilarity of the film. The visual art jokes that run through the film are beyond words. From the blue screen snow shots to the Beardsley print, feast your eyes on visual humour on a Hollywood scale. Costumes, cardboard sets; artificiality is the name of the game; failure to recognise it and the joke is on us. Structurally Ralph Finnes was a tour de force. Enjoy this film on many levels. Worth a second viewing, if not more.
